It is Local Enterprise Week and the local office in Dublin South had a number of events.
On Tuesday Siobhan Murray, founder of Twisting the Jar and author of The Burnout Solution made a presentation in Clondalkin. Ms Murray will shared her experience of launching a business as a mother of two and discussed the risk of ‘burnout’ among women entrepreneurs and businesswomen, how to recognise it, recover from it and avoid it in future.
Speaking about Local Enterprise Week 2020, Tom Rooney, Head of Enterprise at the Local Enterprise Office in South Dublin, highlighted the practical workshops and talks which provide a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs and people in business to develop new practice and adapt to the changing world of work.”
Mr. Rooney said: “Local Enterprise Week is a valuable opportunity for small business owners and entrepreneurs to learn practical tools and techniques that can have a real impact on the day-to-day running of their business.”
“The PLATO LEAN event we’re hosting with William Fahey from Pfizer and Bill Cody from Leading Edge, for example, will provide local business owners in South Dublin with insight and expertise that is aiding some of the biggest companies across the globe to address competitiveness and efficiency in business.”
Local Enterprise Week, an initiative by Local Enterprise Offices aimed at supporting small businesses and fostering entrepreneurship, is expected to attract thousands of attendees to over 300 events nationally.
