The government has asked all Irish citizens that are currently on holiday in Spain to return home by Thursday.The move arises over a partial lockdown that was implemented in the country due to the Covid 19 virus which continues to spread and cases  are on the increase.

The Tanaiste Simon Coveney has talked to Ryanair and Aer Lingus regarding the situation.The airlines have agreed to waive booking and seat fees for anyone who wants to change flights, and they are allocating bigger planes to impacted routes.
