An eight year old boy has tragically died after being attacked by dogs in Dublin.

The child was seriously injured when he was reportedly attacked by two Rottweiler dogs in a house in the Tallaght area.

He was taken to Tallaght Hospital with serious injuries and later transferred to Crumlin Children’s Hospital where he died.

The dogs are now are the supervision of the dog warden

A full investigation into this incident is underway by Gardaí at Tallaght Garda Station
