Arrests made in the death of a Killiney woman

Three men have been arrested after a woman was hit by a car and died following a robbery in Killiney earlier this month.


It is understood the suspects had moments previously carried out a raid on a convenience store on Barnhill Rd close to Dalkey.
They made their escape in a Nissan Almera which went out of control as they were speeding down Ballinclea Road


 Jacqueline McGovern (54) was struck down by the car and later died in St Vincent’s hospital. 
She was walking with her friend Audrey Behan who was hit in the collision and taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries


The arrested men are currently detained at Dun Laoghaire and Dundrum Garda Stations under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.Gardaí in Dun Laoghaire are appealing for information on the incident.
