About us
Dublin South FM is the licensed Community Radio Station for South Dublin. Our main
catchment area comprises: Dundrum, Churchtown, Rathfarnham, Ballinteer, Kilmacud,
Goatstown, Stillorgan, Windy Arbour, Milltown, Mount Merrion, Sandyford, Ballyboden,
Stepaside, Knocklyon, Rathmines & Terenure. We are a community station run by volunteers
with the support of some permanent part time staff.

Our Mission is To
An alternative to mainstream radio, a voice for those under-represented or excluded,
through training and access to radio broadcasting facilities.
Our community through distinctive programming, which honestly informs and
contributes to the entertainment, education and development of our community
Democracy, pluralism, global justice and media literacy
For social change, by promoting dialogue, encouraging artistic expression, offering
alternative world views and by acting as a forum for people who typically lack media access
The environment and human rights, particularly the right to communicate
That we are editorially independent, accountable, transparent and participatory and to
respect the role of the volunteers and staff
Community building values, local business, local arts initiatives, multiculturalism and
